Our client is a leading international banking group, present in Czech Republic with a fully fledge range of banking services and large network. In order to consolidate their operations and handle growing activities the bank is looking to implement new Core Banking System and therefore to hire a Chief Operations Officer/Head of PMO to lead the team and achieve the transformation and migration processes.
Position
The COO is responsible for successfully managing the new Core Banking Sytem implementation within the Project Plan and in accordance with the Implementation Methodology and the bank’s business objectives.
This person takes the leadership of a team of 150-200 people in project planning, resourcing, progress reporting, project team management, troubleshooting and the continuing maintenance of good customer relations.
- Deliver end-to-end projects successfully, within scope, on time, within budget, and of quality.
- Manage a multi-discipline team (both functional and technical as well as client teams): carry out end-of-project performance appraisals for team members involved, identify with them and report training and development needs
- Provide support to the Project Managers to ensure the coordination of the delivery of the different phases of the various projects.
- Ensure that Implementation Methodology and standards are applied and maintained in project implementations.
- Guide and direct the Project Managers.
- Monitor project progress against plan and address any project shortfalls.
- Be the escalation point of PMs
- Produce Project Dashboards and hold project meetings, on a regular basis, with the team and separately with the bank's top management to ensure that project is on track
- Manage the bank expectations, develop and maintain close relationships with top-management and HQ
- Supply CEO Services with Forecasts/Budgets within agreed timeframe.
- Inform Management on issues outside own responsibilities that may affect the success of the project or the bank position
Profil
- Must have previous experience of implementing CBS (ideally from Europe, Middle-East or Indian market)
- Around 10 years of PM experience within banking environment
- This job involves complex activities demanding considerable co-ordination to effectively achieve the jobs end results. Awareness of other jobs in the project team is necessary as the job activities either influence or are influenced by these
- PMI Certification strongly preferred
- Good oral / written communication and presentation skills
- Experienced in negotiating with top-management
- Has the people skills required to be able to manage and motivate the team
- Results oriented
- Czech or Slovak language would be a strong plus
