Our client is part of a very successful and well known FMCG-Multinational (manufacturing, EU HQ). For the German Headquarter based in the prosperous Frankfurt/Rhein-Main Metropolitan Area we are now recruiting a Finance Manager Germany.

Position

• Business partner to General Manager and Business leadership team, providing support and robust challenge
• The role holder is responsible for leading and developing the finance function in Germany 
• The Finance Manager is responsible for all financial accounting and control matters (manufacturing) - such as production controlling incl. forecast, budget, analysis - within Germany including balance sheet, cash-flow management (e.g. cash pooling), working capital (due to retail-, trading profit-, pricing- and, procurement-/supply chain-issues e.g.). 
• Supporting strategic business development and long term growth through 3 year planning and strong commercially driven analysis of customer and competitor information
• Optimisation of business processes (forecast, reporting, etc.); building up a reliable and efficient Management Information System
• This is a key role as it is relied upon for the sound financial management of the business, decision support, and the operation of a robust control structure. 
• The role holder is required to build strong relationships across the organization. Key interfaces include: Top management Germany; International Executive team.

The role covers:

• Leadership and development of a team of approximately 10 employees. The team includes billing management; financial accounting; management reporting & analysis; commercial business support 
• Development of a robust management reporting and internal control process.
• Active participation in business reviews with top management Germany and International management while being an important Sparring/Business Partner 
• Acting as both a support and challenge process within the management team to ensure that business decisions are based on sound financial and commercial principles.
• Acting as a key member of the European Leadership Group (the leadership teams of all the European businesses).

Dimensions of the Job:

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director Germany with a strong dotted line to the Finance Director International the Finance Manager is a key member of the management team Germany.

Profil

• Diploma in Business Administration and/or Qualified accountant or equivalent with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience 
• Commercial finance experience in a similar organisation (manufacturing, operating worldwide) with frequent high level liaison with customers and vendors
• Experience of leading & developing a professional team
• Experience of internal / external audit
• Ability to understand complexity & pay attention to detail
• Ability to build strong working relationships at a senior level
• Strong analytical skills, understanding of profitability and cash-flow measures and drivers
• Highly developed presentation & communications skills
• Customer and 3rd party partner experience
• Fluent English & German
