Our client is an international High Tech company and global player in its sector. To strengthen its finance & accounting team in the Munich based headquarter, we are currently looking to recruit a senior accountant (m/f).

Position

• Oversees the implementation of the global financial accounting principles, procedures, reporting concepts and systems to meet financial reporting requirements
• Ensures compliance with global financial accounting principles, procedures (including Internal Controls), and US-GAAP, IFRS, HGB within the group
• Ensures accurate and on time monthly closing for the legal entity
• Acts as interface between Country Controller and Financial Service Provider in Germany and ensures appropriate level of accounting resources within the local entity
• Monitors and ensures data quality and integrity of balance sheet values
• Ensures tax efficiency of business compliance with German tax/VAT requirements
• Acts as interface to local/regional authorities
• Point of contact for external audit (in cooperation with the Country Controller)

Profil

• University degree in Business Administration with a major in on Finance & Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within an international company
• Expert knowledge in accounting management and processes
• Strong knowledge of SOX and Internal Controls
• Excellent understanding of US-GAAP/IFRS/HGB
• Good comprehension of German tax laws
• Good knowledge of financial concepts, processes and tools, including accounting principles and practices
• Fluent in both English & German
