The position

The Manager B2B Business Support IM (Information Management) ensures IT performance for the B2B domain, focussing on the BU B2B (with respect to designing, development and maintaining processes, information flows, requirements and services in order to achieve business goals for the B2B business units and the IM function itself. Responsible for demand management for specific B2B applications. Ensures that the B2B & ELES (Essent Local Energy Solutions) BU is equipped with IT suited for its continuity and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages team of 20 people, (10 external)
• Identifies and analyses trends, developments, issues, and risks to understand and supports business unit expectations on IT business solutions and services
• Gives pro-active advice to the IM manager and business unit management regarding developments, opportunities, challenges and industry trends in the business, reports on issues identified in order to improve and develop the Essent/RWE IT and business performance
• Analyses processes, information and requirements in order to improve performance and identify business opportunities for the business units in corporation with Business Intelligence Competence center in IT Online
• Manages the change management process in order to provide a transparent process for all stakeholders with respect to requirement identification up to realization in the production environments including documentation
• Ensures that the department functions as an Business Support knowledge center
• Comprehends analyses and reviews trends and developments within the industry; creates awareness and a platform for feasibility studies. Oversees initiation, coordination and execution of new business developments innovations
• Ensures that all IT related risks are identified and properly managed
• Ensures compliance with Control Policies and other External regulations. Develops, implements, and maintains effective and efficient risk management policy and security measures
• Make sure that activities comply with Essent IT and corporate business standards, policies and procedures

Your profile

• Academic level (preferably Computer Science)
• 10 years of IT experience
• 10 years of management experience
• Able to communicate with senior management
• Minimal 10 years of experience in business alignment and communication with senior business management
• Solid knowledge of process improvements
• Significant knowledge of IT architecture
• Proven experience in management of professionals
• Cooperation with peers
• Innovation skills
• Business and customer focus
