Project Manager Power Plant Ecuador

The position

One of the biggest Russian engineering companies South Center of Power Engineering PLC is looking for a candidate for the vacant position of the Project Manager to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of EPC contract for combined cycle power plant extension in Ecuador (180 MW, new installation of 1GT+3HRSG+1ST) ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of project
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop full scale project plans
• Assemble and coordinate project staff
• Manage project budget
• Manage project resource allocation
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• Provide direction and support to project team
• Quality assurance
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• Project evaluations and assessment of results

Candidate profile

• 10+ years work experience in a similar position
• Work experience in large European or American engineering companies or EPC-contractors
• Qualification in project management
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Direct work experience in project management capacity
• Proven experience in people management
• Proven experience in strategic planning
• Proven experience in risk management
• Proven experience in change management
• Proficient in project management software
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Terms & Conditions

The position is based in Moscow, with frequent short-term business trips to the site in Ecuador. Fixed-term employment contract for 3 years with a probation period of 2 months, with full-time employment in the company's office.

The salary indication for this position is max. € 150.000 OTE per annum, excluding housing and relocation.
