Engineering Manager

The organization 

A global market leader in high-pressure hydraulics and a manufacturer of industrial hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, presses, professional equipment and other products. Its EMEA operations are headquartered in the Netherlands.

The position

As the leader of the Engineering Group you deliver results on product development and sustaining engineering. You oversee the new product development process and collaborate with the Product Marketing Group to drive product development up to the point of manufacturability and commercialization.

Responsibilities

You ensure quality, marketability and delivery of current products and special products using current technology to meet customer needs. You lead the organization to discover and adopt the next generation of technology to new products that drive growth.

You manage the engineering team with disciplines in mechanical, hydraulics and software/electrical engineering. Currently the size of this team is 18 people and it is rapidly growing with the growth of the company.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, Masters a plus
• Minimum of 10 years experience in product and project engineering
• Senior mechanical engineering experience in steelworks and cylinders is required
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
• Able to communicate strategies and plans in a succinct and compelling manner
• Intimate with the bigger picture and key details; anticipates barriers and proactively finesses solutions
• Courageously leads change; helps others move through the discomfort of change to the realization of a vision
• Growth-oriented risk-taker who challenges conventional solutions
• Absolute personal integrity and credibility; acts small, delivers outsized results
• Passion for excellence in people, processes and products
• Builds strong teams – selects great people, coaches them and works on their development
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, not frequently

Salary conditions

€100.000 - 130.000 OTE
