Operations Manager - Power Transformers

Position details

The Operations manager has P&L responsibility over the power transformer production plant in Belgium, with a clear goal to realize profitable growth in his organization. His focus is:

• Operational management of Power Transformer plant
• Change Management
• Continuous Improvement
• Make technical risk assessments in a design to order business process

The operations manager has a team of 200 blue collars and 100 white collars. He manages 10 direct reports:

• 1 Engineering manager
• 1 Industrial engineering manager
• 3 production supervisors
• 4 project managers
• 1 Quality Manager

His assignment will be to make sure to implement higher efficiency processes through joining teams and enhancing teamwork. He will be assuring the scale leverages in order to be prepared for the future ahead.

 

Required Skills

• Civil or industrial master in Electrical Engineering
• Experience as an operation manager of a production plant (+- 100 million turnover)
• People management experience
• Experience in power transformers is a good to have. Affinity is essential
• Project management experience (Design to order)
• Experience in change management
• Experience in continuous improvement processes
• Fluent in Dutch and English

• P&L driven in terms of financial bottom-line responsibility
