The position

Tasks & responsibilities
As the Head of Group FP&A, you're a key stakeholder for the Director Group Finance & Control, the Group CFO and the other members of the Executive Committee, the country FD’s and the FP&A controllers in the countries. You will also have a key relationship with the shareholder (Private Equity owner). Your role spans across all countries the company is active in, managing relationships with all finance and non-finance stakeholders.
In this role you are responsible for managing the Group FP&A team (around 5 FTE). The team consists of a number of very professional and ambitious people with a focus on Group FP&A and reporting processes. You are with your team responsible for running the Group planning & control cycle, coordinating budget / forecast / multi year outlook processes, provide management information to the Executive Committee and other stakeholders, and pro-actively provide advice and insights to Senior business leaders in the company. When applicable you will also support the M&A of Mediq, both in due diligence and in integration of acquired companies. Important part of your role will also be to further develop and implement the digital roadmap for the finance function. You will also play a key role in the transformation of the finance function within Mediq over the coming years.
Responsibilties:
- Lead and coach the Group FP&A team of ca 5 FTE. Provide guidance on professional development and performance management;
- Responsible for Planning & Control cycle for the Group. Manage Group Consolidation & Reporting ensuring timely and accurate deliverables;
- Challenge and understand the drivers of the results from the countries;
- Key advisory role to Group CEO, CFO and other Executive committee members. Providing not only regular financial updates but also summarizing key risks and opportunities in performance (focus on headlines);
- Drive actionable analysis (no questions, but answers) in complex landscape;
- Drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting and processes. Be a driver of enhancing simplification, standardization, automation and transparency;
- Create and lead an Mediq FP&A community driving FP&A best practices, knowledge sharing and provide finance networking opportunities within our Company;
- Leading role in (further) developing and executing digital agenda for finance function including implementation of Data Analytics / Automated reporting / Improved Business intelligence / Simplified Forecasting tools etc.;
- Key point of contact for PE shareholder;
- Support implementation of ESG for the Group;
- Participate in a number of strategic and ad hoc projects. For 2025 there is a focus on improving price / margin insight, forecasting accuracy and cash optimisation.
Candidate profile
- Masters degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration or equivalent;
- Preferably with Post Master degree in Controlling (RC);
- Over 7 years experience in relevant senior finance roles;
- Managerial experience is a must;
- Experience in transforming a finance function;
- Experience with implementing a digital roadmap & process improvements;
- Experience with Consolidation tools (Cognos Controller / Analytics is a plus) and BI tooling (e.g. Power BI);
- Fluency in English, Dutch preferred but not necessarily required;
- Experience in a Private Equity setting is a plus;
- Experience in working in an international setting.
The offer
- Salary: €100.000 - €110.000 (including holiday allowance);
- Bonus: < 15%;
- Lease car or mobility budget;
